In addition, the GTX 670 operates at 915 MHz (9% lower than GTX 680) with ability to boost the speed to 980MHz. For the GTX 670, this works out to be 1344 CUDA cores, 112 texture units, and 7 geometry unit (PolyMorph unit), or a 12.5% reduction compared to the GTX 680 (which contains 1536 CUDA cores and 128 texture units). Since the SMX houses the CUDA cores, texture units, special function units, and the PolyMorph Engines, the GTX 670 will see a reduction in these numbers. The only difference is that the GTX 670 has one of the SMX units disabled and runs at lower clockspeed.
